3rd of December - International Day for Persons with Disabilities

In 1992 the United Nations declared 3 of December the International Day of Disabled Persons. This day aims to promote the understanding of disability issues and mobilize support of dignity, rights and wellness of people with disabilities. This day also tries to rise awearness of public opinion concerning the benefits that would result from the integration of persons with disabilities in every aspect of the political, social, economical or cultural life.
